  1. Wow that is an INTENSE gaze. Both the perspective (looking UP into that face) and use of monochrome makes this a stunning image. Love it.

    1. Thanks so much, Gabe, for your kind and thoughtful comment! Those chickens give us unending entertainment. I have to say that they make it easy to get interesting photographs on a regular basis.

  2. Great image…that look..we have turkeys and soon to have a Churk…One of our chooks thinks it is a Turkey and has been adopted by them since a chick she even talks turkey …But is now laying eggs along side the turkey hens so we think it may be a Churk 🙂

    1. That is so interesting, Carol! I have actually never heard of a Churk, but it’s good to learn something new every day. I wonder if it the same as what we call a turken. It really is amazing how poultry can pick up habits from each other. We took in a duckling last spring after her mother and siblings were hit by cars on a local highway. Within a couple of months, the duck was clucking right along with our chickens. It was quite funny to watch. Thanks for sharing your story, Carol!
